The Webmaster!!

HELLO!! I'M K! I'm from the midwest, where humidity sucks and the winds are strong! I have a BFA in Illustration, and I work as a delivery driver to pay off the loans for that lol. I'm diagnosed with ADHD, and I consider myself to be neurodivergent! Growing up and learning about myself more and more with my identity and how my brain works has lead me down a path of hyperfixations and the online world!! As an artist, its vital for me to create in any way possible as a way to express myself and remember what makes me human!

Web History

Since I'm 28 years old, it means I started using the internet around 2007, and was on kids websites like tygirlz.com (similar to webkinz), and kidzbop.com (it used to be a video sharing website for kids believe it or not). Some of my first social media was deviantart and tumblr starting in 2010. I grew up looking at old websites in the early 2000s, but mostly the 2010s. I only beared witness to how myspace profiles looked at the time without getting one. Tumblr was when I really got into making a customized profile, and sort of discovered html but never really delved into ACTUALLY coding. (I've only ever used the user friendly customizations that the theme makers made)

The mission of this site!!

My goal for this website is to just play around with html for the first time!! And kind of make a website that I never got to make when I was younger. I want to make this website look as if it came out of the early 2000s, or at least 2010s.

I'm also hoping I can make this space a personal one of my own. The more I browse websites in the web-revival, the more I want to express myself here in many ways I've never done before.

I'm not really focusing on making it look perfect. In fact, I wanna make it look KINDA UGLY!! and I wanna have a little giggle while im having fun and learning. As an artist who went to art school, Ive constantly had to worry about everything I make looking good. so FUCK THAT!!

While I'm learning how to code, it's nice to do it on a personal site that I can do whatever I want on, rather than start learning how to code with my portfolio website lmao.

I might feature some of my artwork on my site someday, but for now I'm focusing on the general layout before I share any of it lol. (Check my off-site links if u wanna see some of it)

I have a lot of ambitious ideas with so much I want to do, but I have to try things out little by little first. Learning how to make visual novels, how to animate in certain programs, how to use HTML, CSS, and Javascript.... What better way to do it than to dick around and have fun??

Fun fact: I used to misread neocities as "necrosities". That would be a cool website name lmfao
